My dog has a wiry coat

The wire coat is unique in texture and appearance. It does not shed. The proper way to groom a wire haired coat is to pluck (pulling the hair out with the fingers) or with a stripping knife.

This process of removing the longer older duller hairs keeps the skin healthy and stimulated. Many per owners choose to shave down their wire haired pet and this gives a softer, less wiry coat.

Shedding Blade

Use the shedding blade in the direction that the fur grows to catch hairs on the verge of shedding

Large Universal Slicker

Ideal for heavy shedders as they remove maximum amounts of hair.
